(includes a weekend yoga retreat!)

We are so excited and grateful that you are interested in become a teacher with Sin City Yoga! After hosting 20 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings, we realized that we needed to make sure that people were choosing their training because it fit their needs. Many people do not realize that Yoga Alliance Approved Yoga Trainings vary widely. What you will learn is very different at every studio. You'll need to research different programs to find the right one for you. Be informed! This is the only time you'll be taking 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in your entire life!

We have a fabulous training with multiple trainers who are experts in their area and a broad based approach to teaching yoga so that you will learn five different styles of yoga, traditional yoga sutras, spiritual anatomy, physical anatomy, and so much more! We even include a weekend yoga retreat as part of our 10 week training! You'll get more experience actually teaching than any other program in the Southwest. The course is focused on personal development, yoga tradition, and how to teach a safe and personalize yoga class. You will work on developing your authentic voice.

Unfortunately, the first question a lot of people ask is, how much does it cost? And honestly, all the trainings in town cost about the same. Your first question should be, is this the training for me? Do they cover what I want to learn? Do they share my ethics and ideas about what yoga should be? I can tell you that most people do not think about how trainings vary widely in what you will learn, the organization level of the trainers, how you will learn, how much actual time you will spend teaching, and what's included. The website will be your first clue, but review the application process. We take time to review your application, potential students who have not been to the studio before will be asked to interview either in person or via skype with the lead trainer.

This training is for people who are ready to change their lives, take initiative, make it happen, and help others. Students with high ethics who are willing to be on time to every class, support their fellow students, do the extra work it takes to make it through the challenge teacher training imposes on their lives. This training is for people who want to gain a lot of real time experience teaching in live classes, assisting, observing, and learning. If that sounds like you, then read on and get ready to apply for one of the most transformative experiences of your life!

Blessings and Love,

200 Hour Yoga
Teacher Training and Intensive

We believe that Yoga Teacher Training should be an inclusive as possible. Our goal is to teach you a little bit about as many styles and types of yoga, philosophies of yoga, and directions and paths you can take in your yoga career so that you can make a decision about what you want to spend the rest of your life studying. 200 Hours can barely break the surface of this centuries old practice; but we want to set you up to learn where you'd like to go and be prepared to teach a solid class before graduation.

You'll get a free pass to practice unlimited yoga during your teacher training program. Some of the classes will be practice, some observation, some you'll get to teach portions! In lecture class, we will go over commonly used asanas, Sanskrit, and teach you how to sequence. You will be able to teach Vinyasa, Power Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Nidra, Bhakti, and Meditation. You'll get to experience even more types like Acro Yoga!

You will begin to develop your own style of teaching. Your authentic voice will come out and you will learn to be you on the studio floor. We'll teach you safe and effective yoga adjustments, how to give and receive touch. We will explore together not just the physical side of yoga, but the emotional and spiritual side. You will "clean up your side of the street" so you can learn how to be of service to others.

We cover in depth the Yoga Sutras, basically Patanjali's bible of yoga. You'll be able to learn and discuss from a traditional perspective what a yogi is and how to use yoga as a way of life. This background in the Sutras, including discussion of the 8 limbs of yoga, will help you to have a more comprehensive education in yoga so that you can teach your students more than just physical exercise.

Many aspiring teachers don't know, but anatomy in yoga is more than just the physical! During the 7 week journey through the Chakras, you will learn through lecture, yoga, and personal experiences. Most graduates say this was their favorite part of the program! Our Physical Anatomy instructor will take you through the physical body, and its applications to teaching yoga in a practical way that is approachable.

    What Past Students are Saying

I would highly recommend Sin City Yoga for teacher training certifications. I felt completely ready to teach a variety of yoga classes and comfortable with giving hands on yoga assists. I was trained by very experienced teachers. If you are looking for a complete training where you learn more than just how to do poses, this is the training for you! After completing a life changing yoga teacher training, I enrolled in the 300 hour yoga training to gain more knowledge, insight and wisdom. -Tianna, Spring 2017

I first came to Teacher Training at Sin City Yoga so I could further my practice of yoga; what I learned was truly more than that. My practice has undeniably improved 10 fold, but my heart has mended. I was lost and everyone else at the studio, guided me to find my true self. I came looking for knowledge. What I found was a home. They say home is where your heart is. The friendships I've made, and the love I now have, I will take with me forever. Sin City Yoga is heart, love, passion, and transcendence. I haven't found a more perfect place to practice YOGA. -Kayla, Spring 2013

I have been practicing yoga for a couple of years now and I have found Angelica to be one of the most authentic people I know. I have participated in many training and development programs and I love going to Angelica's class. If you are considering taking teacher training take her class. If you are considering yoga or love yoga, take her class. I believe you will love the authentic, generous, committed and compassionate way about Angelica and benefit from being with her. -Paul, Summer 2012

    Introduction to Thai Massage

Learn to give a full body massage that's therapeutic for the giver, too! Thai Yoga Massage is, most essentially, a meditative dance for sharing compassionate touch, in order to unblock energy stagnation. It is a holistic healing technique used as a tool to awaken one's spiritual flame and inner therapist. In Thai massage, we experience how to give and to receive, to touch, to breathe, to feel. When we are present to our interconnectedness, the healing process for both giver and receiver happens all by itself. This training offers invaluable tools for yoga teachers, massage therapists, and energy workers who wish to develop a new dimension of healing touch for students, clients, and friends.

    - Principles of touch
    - Supine, prone, side lying, and seated sequences
    -The four aspects of love
    - Anatomy and postural alignment foundations

Includes instruction, pdf written manual, and online video reference

    Reiki One Certification

    Friday, October 6th
    Friday 6:30pm-9:30pm

Reiki is an ancient, hands-on healing technique that originated in Tibet over ten thousand years ago. Practitioners of reiki learn to channel the healing energy that is available to all living beings, and to guide the energy into the recipient's body to promote self healing. A deeply relaxing and restorative practice, Reiki has been used for millenniums to promote balance and well being.

This class will focus on the Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Method, the traditional method cultivated by Dr. Mikao Usui. Reiki I is the self healing portion of Reiki training. Similar to when you are on an airplane and are directed to put your oxygen mask on before you help others, you will need to be balanced and healthy before you can begin to heal those around you.

The Reiki I class includes the Reiki I manual, the history of Reiki, attunements for all students, and complete directions on how to perform a self healing treatment. The class will also cover Byosen scanning, chakra balancing, muscle testing, sage smudging, and pendulum use. The art of Reiki is suitable for everyone and everybody. No prior knowledge of energy work is required. Join us for a day of positive, shared energy!
