Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher Training

Next Session Starts

March 2023!

Welcome

We take your becoming a yoga teacher seriously and understand that becoming a yoga teacher is a special and important role in our society. We want to give you the best possible experience that we can and that means getting to know you before you register and helping to determine if this is the right training for you. We consider all the factors when deciding whom to accept. Alignment with our vision and a desire to see this world through the lens of love is most important in our decision making. Physical fitness, years of practice, and Instagram fame are the lowest factors in the process. So just be yourself, that's the only person you can be.

This training is for people who are ready to change their lives, take initiative, make it happen, and be of service others. Students with high ethics who are willing to be on time to every class, support their fellow students, do the extra work it takes to make it through the challenge teacher training imposes on their lives. This training is for people who want to gain real time experience teaching in live classes, assisting, observing, and learning. If that sounds like you, then read on and get ready to apply for one of the most transformative experiences of your life!

Who We Are

Over 10 years ago, we opened the doors at Sin City Yoga on a quest to bring community and love to Las Vegas. Today, we are located in the 18b Arts District in downtown Las Vegas and have firmly established ourselves as a place locals and tourists from all over the world call home. We have regular classes, workshops, and teacher trainings. Here's just a few things about our teacher training, and there's so much more to explore!

We have facilitated over 20 teacher trainings in 3 different countries with hundreds of successful graduates all over the world!

We are ranked the “Best Yoga Studio” in the state of Nevada by Best Things in Nevada.

Our teacher training includes multiple instructors who understand their area of expertise.

You will be provided extensive teaching experience prior to graduation and develop your authentic voice!

Why Choose Sin City Yoga?

We believe that Yoga Teacher Training should be an inclusive as possible. Our goal is to teach you a little bit about as many styles and types of yoga, philosophies of yoga, and directions and paths you can take in your yoga career. A 200-hr training is really the foundation and can barely break the surface of this centuries old practice; but we intentionally expose you to multiple aspects of yoga to allow you to find your own focus.  Additionally, you will be prepared to teach a solid class prior to graduation.

You'll receive a free pass to practice unlimited yoga during your teacher training program. Some of these classes will be practice, some observation, and some you'll get to teach portions! In lecture class, we will go over commonly used asanas, Sanskrit, and teach you how to sequence. Although our focus is on vinyasa yoga, you will be able to teach Vinyasa, Power Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Nidra, and Meditation. You'll get to experience even more types like Bhakti Yoga!

You will develop your own style of teaching and find your authentic voice. We'll teach you safe and effective yoga adjustments as well as how to give and receive touch. We will explore together not just the physical side of yoga, but the emotional and spiritual side. You will work on your own personal development so you can learn how to be of service to others.

We cover the Yoga Sutras in depth. You'll be able to learn and discuss from a traditional perspective what a yogi is and how to use yoga as a way of life in our modern world. This background in the Sutras, including discussion of the 8 limbs of yoga, will allow you to have a more comprehensive yoga education so that you can teach your students more than just physical aspects .

Anatomy in yoga is more than just the physical anatomy. During the journey through the Chakras, you will learn through lecture, yoga, and personal experiences. Most graduates say this was their favorite part of the program! Our Physical Anatomy instructor will take you through the physical body, its applications to teaching yoga in a practical way that is approachable, and incorporating biomechanics and functional movement to ensure a safe and sustainable practice.

6 modalities of Yoga including:
Vinyasa Yoga, Power Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, & Yoga Nidra

Training Formats

Our 4 week intensive yoga course runs Monday-Friday from 8am to 4pm. We know not everyone has a nights and weekends schedule and we wanted to create a training that our tourists could attend! If you are traveling to Las Vegas to take this training, let us know, and we'll make some housing recommendations.

The 11 Week Yoga Course is Tuesdays and Wednesdays 6pm-9pm and Saturdays 10am to 6pm plus 25 classes of your choice off the regular schedule throughout the 11 weeks.  You will immerse yourself in yogic lifestyle and bond with friends.

Whether you are ready to sign up now, or you are looking to take training in the future, please take the online survey regarding the style, time of year, and type of course you are interested in.
